The Cold Just Keeps Coming and Coming and Coming!

The endless barrage of cold air on the northern Plains, Great Lakes and Northeast will continue through the weekend into early next week. This has been a long winter for many folks in these areas, and according to our AccuWeather.com Long Range Meteorologist, it's not going to end this month.
The cold wave that has come into the northern Plains and the Northeast will last through the weekend, and another reinforcing shot of extremely cold weather will come down from Canada at end of next week, with yet another even colder shot of air coming the week of February 8th.
So how cold will it be this weekend? Temperatures for highs will stay in the teens and 20s from the northern Plains to the Northeast. The RealFeel® temperatures will be in the single digits, so heading outdoors you need to bundle up. It will ease some early next week prior to the next wave of cold air coming down.
As you can see on the map above, light snow will even fall across across the Upper Midwest Monday into Tuesday. Not a big snowstorm, but one that can cause some travel problems.
