ANALYSIS - U.S. power supply inadequate for economic recovery | Reuters

This is one of the major problems the US Energy Sector is facing the need to deploy significant amounts of capital to build infrastructure including electric generation assets, transmission lines, natural gas transmission lines, and other critical infrastructure. Given the substantial economic and environmental uncertainty, and lack of long term investment capital, the market is in gridlock, without some level of comfort in recovering capital expended.
