WILMINGTON, N.C., Aug. 30, 2010 — Leading Independent and Senior Energy Executive Karl W. Miller formally endorsed Representative Mike McIntyre for re-election to North Carolina’s 7th Congressional District.
Mr. Miller has a long-standing history of bi-partisanship on major policy issues and in supporting moderate political candidates. Mr. Miller has been active in the national political arena and taken a leadership role regarding the US Energy policy and proposed carbon emissions regulation currently under debate in Washington.
“Mike McIntyre has proven to be a well thought-out moderate representative for the constituents of Eastern North Carolina, especially in these extremely difficult times. While McIntyre is a registered Democrat, he has not demonstrated that he is tied to any specific agenda of Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, or President Barack Obama,” said Mr. Miller.
“McIntyre has demonstrated his practical nature, been moderate in his voting record, and has connected with the people of Eastern North Carolina and I am confident that he will be re-elected based upon these attributes,” Mr. Miller added.
